Recently, every city in North America scrambled to answer one simple question - where should Amazon build their new 5 billion dollar headquarters campus? Kansas City wanted in, but they needed to do something interesting to stand out from flashy coastal competitors. So we set out to grab Amazon's attention by hacking one of the things they value most – their product review system. All we needed to do it was a charismatic mayor, an Amazon order for over 1,000 items (all donated to charity), and many, many reviews written in just a few short days.

 
 


After it was all said and done, we'd collected over 1,600 media stories worldwide, 150 million earned impressions, and over $2 million dollars in earned media value.
